AID Northwest Detention Center
We hold a Vigil once a month at the AID Northwest Detention Center. It is a time when we serve family and friends who are visiting loved ones at the Detention Center. We listen to stories; hold hands; offer prayers; and mostly we offer food and beverages along with toys and books for the children. Often, families have lengthy trips home so we do our best to provide items that will make the journey a bit easier. The Detainee's visitors often feel a sense of isolation and loneliness after the visit -- the human connection we offer is priceless. If you would ever like to participate or donate something like fruit, juice boxes, cookies, peanut butter sandwiches, bottled water, toys or books it would be greatly appreciated.
