OFFICIANT: If an officiant is needed the pastor of the F.I.U.C.C. is available to perform the ceremony and to provide pre-marital counseling.
MUSICIANS: Only approved musicians are allowed to play the piano. The piano may not be moved without the approval of the Wedding/Facility Coordinator or other church representative.
SECURITY/DAMAGE DEPOSIT: The Security/Damage Deposit is seperate from the rental fee. The deposit check will be cashed upon receipt, and with the approval of the Wedding/Facility Coordinator should be refunded within two weeks following the event.
DECORATIONS: All decorations (candles, aisle runners, signs, flower petals, potpourri, etc.), their placement and attachment, must be approved prior to the event by the Wedding/Facility Coordinator. Initial discussion of the type and extent of decorations should take place at the time that the facility is reserved. Nails, tacks, staples, pins, tape, glue (including glue guns), or duct tape are not to be used on any surface.
DECORATION REMOVAL: All decorations, inside and outside (including street signs and balloons posted on the way to the facility) must be removed immediately after the event unless prior arrangements have been approved by the Wedding/Facility Coordinator.
FURNITURE USE: Set-up or removal of tables, chairs, and other furnishings at the church is the sole responsibility of the client and their work party, under the supervision of the Wedding/Facility Coordinator. All tables, chairs and other furnishings moved by the client are to be returned by the client to the storage area or places of origin at the end of the event.
RICE, BIRDSEED, FLOWER PETALS, AND CONFETTI: The use of rice, birdseed, or confetti is not permitted within or outside of the facility. Fresh rose petals may not be used directly upon the carpeted areas of the facility. (Client must supply the aisle runner if fresh petals are to be used.)
NON-SMOKING FACILITY: Smoking of any substance by any means is not allowed anywhere at the church.
ALCOHOL: Use and distribution of alcohol is prohibited anywhere at the church.
SANCTUARY LIMITATIONS: Snacks or casual foods for the bridal party before the ceremony are limited to the women’s dressing area (Fireside Room), or men’s dressing room (the Choir Room at the end of the hall).
PERSONAL BELONGINGS: Anything stored anywhere in the facility is done so at the risk of the owner of the personal belongings. At the end of the event, check all rest rooms, dressing areas, sanctuary, foyer and grounds for personal items. The Fox Island United Church of Christ cannot be held responsible for loss of any client property.
REFUND OF SECURITY/DAMAGE DEPOSIT: The client, or clients representative, will be asked to walk through the facility with the Wedding/Facility Coordinator prior to, and at the end of the event to determine eligibility for the deposit refund.
